Established in 1987 to oversee one of the first Special Improvement Districts (SID) established in the State of New Jersey, New Brunswick City Market, Inc. is a privately funded 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the central business district as a great place to live, work and visit in addition to fostering economic growth, attracting new business, and improving the economic vitality of the City Center by providing supplemental cleaning services, physical improvements, marketing, and events.
New Brunswick City Market is the management organization for New Brunswick City Center within the SID of the City of New Brunswick. Our support of the district includes, but is not limited to, development and maintenance of this website, marketing & promotion, special events, business recruitment & retention, and streetscaping. We are a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization that works closely with, and advocates for the success of local businesses, institutions, and the community at large.
