Description
I’m a filmmaker and writer driven by the power of story to reveal truth, humor, and humanity. My work bridges heartfelt cultural storytelling with surreal, comedic, and emotionally charged worlds that explore identity, connection, and the absurdity of modern life. I’m drawn to stories that merge visual imagination with grounded emotion—where sincerity meets satire and vulnerability drives creativity. I’m seeking opportunities to grow within the film and television industry, collaborating with teams that value originality, craft, and purpose in storytelling.
Special Skills & Experience
I bring a versatile blend of creative and technical expertise across writing, directing, producing, and post-production. As a multidisciplinary filmmaker, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of story structure, tone, and character, complemented by hands-on experience across the full production pipeline—from concept development and pre-production to on-set execution and post-production workflows.
I wrote, directed, and produced Big Bahay (2025), an original Filipino-American dark comedy short presented as a 1990s VHS-style sitcom. The project was fully crowdfunded, raising over $4,000, and I successfully led a team of over twenty cast and crew members through every stage of production, including set design, lighting, and editorial. The film demonstrates my ability to align creative vision with logistical execution, resource management, and collaborative leadership.
My professional experience extends to television and music video production. As a production intern with Secret Society Motion Pictures, I supported lighting, camera, and equipment departments on professional shoots—most notably a Bell Biv DeVoe music video commemorating Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary. Responsibilities included operating a spotlight during live performance segments, stabilizing a mobile tow-truck camera rig, and assisting with RED Komodo and drone operations.
I have also developed original and spec television scripts, including Noodledom (2025), an animated pilot that integrates the surrealism of Adventure Time and Space Dandy with the emotional and culinary themes of The Bear. Additionally, I authored a Marvelous Mrs. Maisel spec episode, reflecting adaptability across diverse genres and formats.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, sound design, and visual effects, I approach filmmaking with both creative vision and technical precision. With a background in business administration, I value filmmaking as a discipline rooted in artistry, organization, and collaboration.
