Orange Sky Coffee Roasters is the culmination of the decade-long dream of husband-and-wife duo Ray and Trish Laws Locicero. Ray is the real coffee connoisseur of the two, but Trish comes from a long line of Filipino and Italian-American culinary entrepreneurs. Trish handles marketing, design, and recipe development.Ray’s a licensed mechanical engineer by training, but has long been a culinary artist at heart, and handles the day-to-day operations. He began his foray into coffee roasting while living in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. He started with a modified popcorn popper, graduated to a stovetop roaster, and finally hit his stride at Paolo Maliksi’s Regalia Roasting Collective in Long Island City. OSCR's coffees are complemented by an assortment of French pastries, including the shop’s signature flaky sea salted caramel & chocolate croffles as well as their Boursin bacon, egg, & cheese; real maple butter sausage, egg, & cheese; and s’mores, ube, or strawberry shortcake lattes.
