NJ-411 Listing

Description

I am a NJ based cinematographer, and producer, and the founder of Mediawave Productions. My work spans narrative film, commercial branding, live events, and social media content, with a focus on emotionally grounded visuals that connect story, sound, and movement. I approach filmmaking as a tool for immersion, creating work that feels intentional, authentic, and story-driven rather than overtly promotional. I have collaborated with independent filmmakers, small businesses, creative agencies, and public institutions across New Jersey and the greater New York area. I bring a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to each project, often working across multiple roles to maintain efficiency while preserving creative integrity. Mediawave Productions operates with in-house equipment and a trusted local crew, allowing productions to scale fluidly based on project scope and budget.

Special Skills & Experience

I bring a highly adaptable, production-minded approach to cinematography and camera operation, shaped by experience across narrative film, commercial work, sports coverage, and documentary production. Standing at 6’7”, I offer unique physical advantages on set, allowing me to achieve elevated or unconventional camera angles quickly and efficiently without sacrificing stability or composition, particularly valuable in fast-moving or constrained environments.

I frequently collaborate closely with gaffers to design lighting that supports story and emotion, whether crafting clean, high-key commercial looks or building contrast-heavy, moody lighting for narrative scenes. With experience working as a 1st AC, I maintain a deep understanding of lenses, camera systems, and optical behavior, which informs both my creative decisions and technical execution. This knowledge allows me to communicate clearly across departments and move fluidly between camera, lighting, and grip teams. My background in sports and documentary filmmaking has trained me to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly to unpredictable conditions, and still deliver polished, cinematic imagery. I am comfortable operating in environments where moments cannot be repeated and decisions must be made instinctively, confidently, and efficiently. I am highly engaged in pre-production and excel at translating scripts, concepts, and treatments into practical camera, lighting, sound, and art department plans. I regularly assist productions by sourcing crew, gear, and workflows tailored to the scale and needs of each project, while serving as Director of Photography or as a key member of the camera department. I have hands-on experience with camera systems including the ARRI Alexa Mini LF, ARRI Alexa 35, RED Komodo, and Blackmagic 6K Pro. I own and operate a complete video village setup, including multiple SmallHD 7-inch and 24-inch monitors with multi-view capability, supporting efficient, professional productions!
